PRODUCER

Producing with Purpose:

 "MIDLAND"

  • I am currently the executive producer of Midland, a short film about three women embarking on a journey to bury the hatchet and resolve some unfinished business.

"THE BLACTOR"

  • I am also an associate producer of The Blactor, a suspenseful short film written and directed by Rukiya Bernard, following an actress on her way to an audition who is stopped by an undercover police officer and forced into the performance of a lifetime as she struggles to prove her innocence.

"WHOEVER YOU MAY BE"

  • I also served as associate producer on Ruth Pickett's dramatic short film Whoever You May Be, which explores race, empathy, and identity through an encounter between a Black British man and an outspoken "All Lives Matter" supporter during a Black Lives Matter protest outside the British Museum.

Turning "What If?" Into "We Made It"

Producing has been a through line throughout Elle Vernee’s career, long before “Producer” officially appeared among her film credits. Across entertainment, radio, live events, theatre, branded experiences and arts programming, she has repeatedly been trusted to take ideas from concept to execution—developing programming, shaping audience experiences, coordinating talent and creative teams, managing production elements, and solving the countless moving pieces required to bring an experience to life.

Her producing and creative production experience includes work with Dwell Magazine’s Dwell on Design Los Angeles, where she served as a Stage Producer managing presenters, media assets, technical teams and the master run of show; the Miller Lite StandUp Comedy Search, managing the Dallas stop of the national comedy competition hosted by Marlon Wayans; and the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series, the national emerging-artist initiative created in partnership with Russell and Danny Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.

She also developed theatrical curriculum, original scripts and student productions as a Drama Instructor/Creative Consultant for BETA Center, helping young storytellers transform lived experiences into work for the stage.

Her earlier career in radio expanded from event management into creative production, where she developed celebrity and listener experiences, branded activations, on-air concepts, promotional scripts and digital content while managing talent, contracts and live event execution.

Today, that foundation continues through her work as a film producer and storyteller. For Elle, producing has never simply meant managing logistics. It means seeing the possibilities in an idea, gathering the right people and resources around it, and helping turn “What if?” into “We made it.”
